Ronald Krieg

Ronald E. Krieg, 78, Logansport, died at 11:44 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Logansport Memorial Hospital, Logansport.
Ron was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Akron. On Feb. 28, 1991, Ron and Brenda K. Holt were united in marriage by the Rev. Joan Holt in Logansport.
Ron retired in 1996 from Rockwell International after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Miami Baptist Church, a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a 1952 graduate of Jefferson Township High School in Mexico, where he played basketball for the Bulldogs.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda K. Krieg, Logansport; son John Krieg and wife Cora, Carthage, Mo.; one granddaughter, Alexandra (Ali) Krieg; sister, Linda Imel, Portland; sister, Dianna France and husband Paul, Lagro; sister, Sharon and husband Don, Wisconsin; two stepsons, Benjamen Booth and Bradison Booth; and Ron’s beloved dog Chancey.
One brother-in-law, Harold Imel; an uncle, Phillip Krieg; and Ron’s mother, Opal Krieg Fouts, preceded him in death. Also deceased are Mr. and Mrs. John Krieg, who were his grandparents and with whom he lived during his childhood.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, with full graveside military rites.
