Russell "Russ" Gordon

Russell "Russ" C. Gordon, 88, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on May 4, 1927 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Eugene and Maude (Robbins) Gordon.  On March 1, 1958 in Leiters Ford, Indiana he married Roberta Irene Harlan who survives.

Russ retired from General Tire in Wabash. He was a member of the Miami Baptist Church and a 1945 graduate of Royal Center High School. Russ served his country while in the Navy during World War 2.

Surviving along with his wife Roberta are two sons, Timothy Eugene Gordon, Logansport; James (Lila) Gordon, Walton; two daughters, Linda Brown, Logansport; Vicki (Richard) Garver, New Waverly; five grandchildren, Sarah Jane (Larry) Quaglio, Lake Cicott; Jonah (Vince) Wilder, Osceola, IN; Lisa Brown, Logansport; Andrew (Lisa) Garver, Cr awfordsville; William Brown, Logansport; two step grandchildren, Travis (Naomi) Rombold, Lafayette; Trista (Jim) Cron, Colorado Springs, CO; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Rosanne) Gordon, Metea, IN.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Nicholas and Douglas Gordon; two sisters; and four brothers.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Daisok Panmei officiating.  Burial with Military Graveside Rites will be held at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 10:30AM until the time of service on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Miami Baptist Church or the New Waverly Fire Department.
