Ruth M. Macklen, 104, Logansport, died at 12:28 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Millerâs Merry Manor.
Born May 12, 1906, in Burnettsville, she was the daughter of Leroy and Annie Wirick Liston. She was married June 11, 1924, in Logansport, to Joseph Macklen, who preceded in death Dec. 3, 1943.
Ruth worked as a title researcher for the BMV and also retired from Merchants Bank in Indianapolis in 1971.
She was a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church and Triple SSS.
Surviving are daughter, Shirley Pittman, Baton Rouge, La.; son, Richard Black, San Francisco; granddaughters, Cathy Moss, and Shirley Shultz and husband, Richard, all of Logansport; grandson, Fred Moss, Logansport; several other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Brandie Farris and husband, Matt, Logansport, Rich Schultz and wife, Melinda, Kewanna, Mark Warpenburg, Aurora, Lauren Moss, Muncie, Kendall Moss, Hamilton, Ohio; several other great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Macklen; two daughters, Marilane Moss and husband, Fred, and Bettyanne Wilson; and one great-grandson, Matt Warpenburg.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. George Plasterer officiating.
Burial will be inEver-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from noon until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
