Sandra Roberson

Sandra M. Roberson, 69, Logansport, passed away at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at her residence.

Born April 8, 1941, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Robert H. McMillen and Opal I. Franklin.

Sandra retired from the Pharos-Tribune after 20 plus years of service. She was a 1959 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1962 graduate of Ball State University and later went on to receive her Master’s Degree from Indiana University in 1978. While in college Sandra was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and after graduation from Ball State she taught second grade at Royal Center. Sandra enjoyed reading and following I.U. sports and the Indianapolis Colts. She also enjoyed swimming and cooking.

Survivors include daughters, Lori Boyer and husband Marty, Indianapolis, and Debbie Brown and husband Kerry, Pendelton; sister, Judi Phillips, Peru; two grandsons, and Cody and Kyle; one niece, Michelle Baber and husband Steve, Peru; one nephew, Robert Phillips, Peru; one great-niece; and three great-nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home. The Rev. Dean Fager will officiate.

Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
