Sandra Saunders

Sandra S. Saunders, 81, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday May 9, 2017 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 18, 1935 in Logansport, IN to the late Emerson and Katherine “Leicht” Martin. On August 6, 1954 in Larwill, IN she married Dean D, Saunders who preceded her in death on October 19, 2013.

Sandra and her husband were the former owners of Witmyer’s Restaurant. She had also worked as an administrative secretary for the National City Bank and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include one step-son, Jerry (Diane) Ware, Sturgis, MI; two nieces, Rose (Les) Loschen, Sebring, FL; Nancy Saunders, CA; three nephews, Tracy (Sandy) Stuart, Logansport, IN; Rod Thomas, Etna Green, IN; Lamoine  (Susan ) Saunders, Chandler, AZ; several cousins and her beloved dog Sweetie.

One brother, Steve Martin, preceded in death.

Per Sandra’s request there will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to the Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory.
