Sara Mcvety

Sara R. McVety, 101, of Logansport, passed away Saturday January 28, 2017 in Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport, IN.

Born June 2, 1915 in Cass County, IN she was the daughter to the late Milton R. and Goldie (Michaels) Gray.

On April 16th, 1938 in Logansport, IN she married Millard “Mac” E. McVety who preceded in death on May 27, 1987.

Sara was a 1933 graduate of Logansport High School. She went on to become a beautician and retired after 20 years of service.

Surviving is one daughter, Nancy S. Strantz, Logansport; one granddaughter, Noelle S. (Jerry) Moon, Ashland City, TN; and one great grandson, Michael A. Moon, Ashland City, TN.

Sara was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Ormus “Doc” Gray.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday February 1, 2017 in Gundrum Funeral Home with Mark Racop Officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery, Logansport, IN.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Tuesday January 31, 2017 in Gundrum Funeral Home.
