Sharon A. Bartak, 61, Logansport, died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, in the Emergency Room at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born June 12, 1949, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Clarence and Alice Seward Stanton. She was married June 1, 1968, in Logansport, to Rodney C. Bartak.
Sharon was a teacherâs aide for Franklin Elementary School.
She was a member of Spring Creek Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Rodney C. Bartak, Logansport; daughter, Melissa Nixon and husband, Eric, Pendleton; son, Tracy Bartak and wife, Niki, Whiteland; parents, Clarence and Alice Stanton, Logansport; brother, Harold Stanton and wife, Becky, Logansport; sisters, C.J. Tolson and husband, Richard Dunkin, and JoEtta Wilson and husband, Robert, all of Logansport; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Sandy Dillman and Marsha Bennett.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Stanton Jr.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Gennicks officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
