Sharon E. Stewart passed away at 9:45 pm Monday July 15, 2024, in her residence. 

Sharon was the youngest child of Gilbert H. and Lotta G. (Dowden) Allen. 

She was born June 21, 1938, in Terra Haute, IN. Sharon graduated from Logansport High School in 1956. She was married to Floyd N. Stewart on December 24, 1960, who passed away September 6, 1994.

Sharon worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in Logansport including Leonard Wiseman and Logansport Equipment Rental. She was also employed at the H&R Block as a tax preparer for 25 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was especially fond of the Boston Terrier Dog breed. Her Dog was the love of her life.

Sharon was a 50-year member of the Royal Center Eastern Stars Chapter #375 and a member of the Logansport American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son- Edgar N. Stewart, Linden, IN; two daughters, Louise E. Neidlinger, Star City, IN and Beverly J. McAninch, Logansport, IN; Six grandchildren, Jamie L. Erdman; David N. (Lisa) Popejoy; Steven A. (Sara) Popejoy; Nathan Stewart; Nicholas Stewart and Christopher J. (Ashley) McAninch; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Albert Richard Allen and Gilbert H. Allen, Jr.; four sisters- Eleanor L. Williams, Mildred L. Been, Rosmary E. Hensel, and Patricia K. Fry.

Per Sharon’s wishes there will be no services. 

A private burial will take place at Bethel Cemetery, near Logansport.
