Shirley Thomas

Shirley A. “ Conner” Thomas, 81, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on May 16, 1934 in Peru, Indiana she was the daughter of the late David and Mary (Bethel) Harmon.  Shirley was married to Lewis A. Conner until he preceded in death on April 30, 1992, she then married Robert W. Thomas, who preceded in death on October 12, 2015.

Shirley formerly worked at Sherril's in Mexico, Indiana and was the former owner of Beaver Dam Baits in Claypool, Indiana. After retiring she enjoyed several years in Harlingen, Texas.

Surviving Shirley are two daughters, Sherry (William) Mohler; Linda (Herbert) Hildebrand, both of Logansport; brother, James (Marilyn) Harmon, Florida; four grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Coleman, Kokomo; Jennifer (Mike) Barron; Candice Mohler and Nathan Marocco; Megan (Daniel) Jordan, all of Logansport; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Jo Conner and one brother, Richard Harmon.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family on Sunday Jan. 24, 2016
