Shirley Dillman

Shirley Joan Dillman, 79 of Plymouth, passed away February 6, 2018, in Wampler’s Senior Living Facility in Bourbon, Indiana.

Born on September 1, 1938 in Wheeling, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Ellen (Michaels) Trapp.  On May 18, 1958 in Twelve Mile, Indiana she married her husband of 60 years Carl “Ed” Dillman who survives.

Shirley was a homemaker. She loved serving and loving her family. Shirley maintained many life long friendships and enjoyed square dancing, listening to music, traveling, and spending time on the family farm in Twelve Mile with her husband.

Surviving, along with her husband “Ed”, are three sons, Jeff (Debbie) Dillman, Pewaukee, WI; Bradley Dillman, Plymouth, IN; and Mark (Rose) Dillman, Tippecanoe, IN; daughter, Pam (Jim) Johnson, Argos, IN; seven grandchildren, Casey Johnson, Matthew (Lisa) Dillman, Michael (Katelyn) Dillman, Teel Dillman, Dane Dillman, Dirk Dillman, and Megan Dillman; great granddaughters, Riley Dillman and Emily Jo Dillman, three brothers, Cecil (Norma) Trapp, Logansport; Max (Rhonda) Trapp, Logansport; and Meredith “Butch” Trapp, Rochester, IN.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Trapp and four sisters, Barb Powers, Margaret Henry, Vivian Trapp and Janis Trapp.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Corinth Brethren Church in Twelve Mile with Chaplain Ben Pippen officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Brethren Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, February 8 in the Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral service at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shirley Dillman Memorial Fund which will be used towards Alzheimer’s Research and care facilities of Alzheimer’s patients.
