Shirley Reason

Shirley A. Reason, age 74, of Kewanna, Indiana, died at 2:34 am Sunday, April 27, 2014 in her residence.

Born July 9, 1939 in Cass County, IN, she was the daughter of the late Forrest "Bus" G. and Evelyn (Kingery) Saylors. On September 16, 1956 in Kewanna, IN, she married Carl M. "Bud" Reason who preceded in death July 26, 1995.

Shirley was a graduate of Grass Creek High School. She retired in 2013 from Kaufman Industries after thirty years of service. Shirley enjoyed all types of animals and especially her horse Dillon.

Survivors also include one daughter, Claudia Johnson of Kewanna, IN; son, James (Diane) Reason of Peru, IN; sister, Vicky (Ron) Vetro of Pompano Beach, FL; granddaughter, Lindsey Krisher of Kokomo, IN; four grandsons, Chad Krisher of Kewanna, IN, Landon Krisher of Kokomo, IN, Ben Reason and fiancée Erin of Rochester, Jesse Reason and fiancée Jessamyn of Kewanna, IN; two great grandsons, Austin Krisher of Rochester, IN, Conner Krisher, Kokomo, IN; four step grandchildren, Tyler Smiley of Peru, IN, Josh Chumbley of Peru, IN, Jake (Brianne) Chumbley of Peru, IN, Angie Chumbley of Connersville, IN; step great grandchildren, Evan Chumbley of Peru, IN, Aubri Chumbley of Peru, IN; Addison Chumbley, Peru, IN; Devon Ellison, Connersville, IN; honorary grandson, Bronson Krisher of Rochester; honorary granddaughter, Madeline Moeller of Rochester, IN; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by father, Forrest "Bus" G Saylors, mother, Evelyn Saylors and sister, Sandra Lines.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Gundrum Funeral Home with John Mollencupp officiating. A private Interment will be held in the Grass Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, Indiana.
