Services for Steve E Titus, 63, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 11:10 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, at his residence.
Born Feb. 10, 1944, in Continental, Ohio, he was the son of Lawrence and Florabell Baker Titus. He was married July 28, 1969, in Logansport, to Christina A. Kirkham, who survives.
Mr. Titus retired April 19, 2006, after 17 years with Moon Fabricating of Kokomo.
Steve enjoyed fishing, playing darts and spending time with his grandchildren. He worked hard all his life, and his friends and family were most important to him. He was always ready to help anyone and not ask for anything in return.
Steve enjoyed life and made the most of it, until April 2006, when he was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrigâs disease).
Steve was better known as âPorky,â a name given to him by his best friend Glen Sherman (alias the Worm). He will be missed by all. May your prayers be with him. All our love goes with him.
Surviving are two daughters, Stephanie Titus, Logansport, and Debra Owen and her husband, Leonard, Wyoming; two sons, Lawrence Titus, Logansport, and Steve Edward Titus II and his wife, Tricia, Walton; two brothers, Mike Titus and his wife, Ola, and Gary Titus, all of Logansport; two sisters, Bonnie Wilson and her husband, Everett, and Patricia Ehler and husband John, all of Logansport; and seven grandchildren, Steven Mundy, Christie Mundy and Bradly Titus, all of Logansport, Kyle Titus, Levi Titus and Emmy Titus, all of Amboy, and Trevor Titus, Walton.
One brother, Lawrence Titus; one sister, Sheila Lough; and one daughter, Maria Ann Titus, preceded in death.
David Armstrong will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
