Steven Zeider

Steven Earl Zeider, 60, Logansport, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at his residence.

Born June 9, 1950, in Tempe, Ariz., he was the son of Robert E. and Mary Ellen Markley Zeider. On Oct. 6, 1973, in Logansport, he married Nancy L. Holcomb, who survives.

He retired from Kent Feeds in 1996 after 18 years of service. He had also worked as a deputy at the Cass County Sheriff’s Department from 1974 until 1978.

A member of River of Life Christian Church, he enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren.

His survivors include his wife, Nancy L. Zeider, Logansport; son Patrick Zeider and wife Megan, Logansport; daughter, Nicole Zeider, Kokomo; sisters, Chris Fields and Sue Ellen Gunter and husband Kenny, all of Logansport; brothers, Robert C. Zeider and wife Diane and Frank E. Zeider, all of Logansport; and three grandchildren, Alyssa, Wyatt and Aiden Zeider.

He was preceded by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Zeider; a sister, Deborah Mills; and a brother, Denny Zeider.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Hibbard officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
