Susan Kay Wilburn

Susan K. Wilburn, 68, of Peru, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at her residence on August 28,2024.

 Susan was born March 6, 1956 to Esther McLay Sailors and lived in Peru all of her life. She retired from Progress Rail in 2017 after sixteen years with the company. Susan attended Peru High School.

 Susan is survived by her daughters, Carla Emerson of Peru, and Amy Johns of Mesa, Arizona; Grandchildren Ryley (Tyler) Emerson, of Valparaiso, Indiana, Landen Emerson of Peru, and Lacey and Zach Kasmer of Mesa, Arizona. Susan has one great-grandson, Osiris Hendrix Dodge, of Mesa, Arizona. Siblings: Roberta (Delon) Rumfelt of Marion, Indiana, Tim Enyart, Beth Enyart, Jerilyn (Dwayne) Sievers, and Lisa Braswell all of Peru. Also, many nieces and nephews. Susan’s is also survived by her loving kitty and companion, Ellie Mae.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Sailors and siblings; Janet McNabb and Greg Enyart.

Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the cremation. There will be no services for Susan per her wishes. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the funeral home to offset the cremation expenses.
