Tamara Dawson

LOGANSPORT — Tamara Sue Dawson, 50, Logansport, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, in her residence.

Born Oct. 16, 1960, in Greensboro, N.C., she was the daughter of Richard Dawson and Merlene Bradley.

Tamara was a sales associate at Big Lots for the past 10 years.

Tamara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, board games and swimming. Tamara attended Logansport High School.

Survivors include her son, Brandon Dawson and companion, Jennifer Cates, Logansport; father and step-mother, Richard and Karen Dawson, Warsaw; sister, Dianna Plummer, Indianapolis; brothers, Nicholas Dawson, Austin, Texas, and James Edward Dawson, Bryan, Texas; step-sister, Tammy Dittmer and husband, Roy, Aurora; step-brothers, Tim Montel and wife, Debbie, Rochester, and J. Todd Montel and wife, Chris, Rochester; nephews, Milton Plummer, Indianapolis, and Jacob Dawson, Austin, Texas; and two grandchildren, Christian and Carissa Dawson, Logansport.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home. Private burial will take place in Sycamore Cemetery near Talma.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salesian Missions.
