Terry Lee Bell, age 59, of Sebring, FL, passed away from cancer on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 1:15 AM in his Florida home surrounded by his family. He was born January 8, 1952 in Logansport, IN to Kenneth Donald and Betty C. (Vernon) Bell.
Terry retired in 2000, from Tyson Foods, as a Market Buyer. He had also worked at the same facility when it was Wilson Foods and IBP.
Terry was a 1970 graduate of Carroll High School where he played basketball and ran track. He then continued his education at Purdue University. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Veste Masonic Lodge and the Sebring Moose Lodge #2259. Terry enjoyed coming back to Indiana in the spring and fall to help at the Mylet farms near Deer Creek. He was an avid fisherman, winning many contests and trophies. He also enjoyed golfing and playing cards with friends.
Survivors include his special companion, Theresa South, Sebring, FL; Daughter, Tara Lundy and husband, Matt of Osceola, IN; Son, Tom Bell and wife, Theresa, Mishawaka, IN; Mother, Betty C. Bell of Logansport, IN; Brother, Mike Bell of Deer Creek, IN; Granddaughter, Brianna Lundy of Osceola, IN; Grandson, James Bell, Mishawaka, IN; Step Granddaughter, Alyssa Lundy of Osceola, IN; Nephew, Ryan bell and wife, Maggie of Avon, IN; and Nephew Mark Bell and wife, Melissa of West Point, IN
Terry was preceded in death by his father, K. Donald Bell and his Uncle, Jack Vernon.
Rev. Teal Anderson will officiate the services and burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorialsâ may be made to the Shrine Hospitals for Children.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
A Masonic service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 PM
