Terry Alan "Jake" Benedict Sr., 65 of Logansport, passed away on August 16, 2014 at 5:25AM in his residence surrounded by his family.

Born January 27, 1949 in Peru, IN, he was the son of George and Alice (Walls) Benedict.

On June 19, 1988 in Logansport, he married Brenda K. Morehouse who survives.
Jake retired from Chrysler in 2009. He attended South Caston High School and completed a four year apprentice program at Notre Dame to become a journeyman plumber, pipefitter and welder. Jake was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge #33, Mizpah Shrine Temple of Fort Wayne and Logansport Shrine Club.

Survivors along with his wife Brenda include mother, Alice Tocco, Logansport; two daughters, Traci Leigh Hotka and Corey, Fort Myers, FL; Rebecca Minniear, Kewanna, IN; three sons, Dwain Minniear and Kayla, Twelve Mile, IN; Scott Minniear, Lafayette, IN; Andrew Morehouse, Lafayette, IN; three sisters, Linda (Ron) Hoffman, Rochester, IN; Georgia (Steve) Sprinkle, Logansport, IN; Janet (Dick) DeLawter, Rochester, IN; two brothers, Bill (Donna) Benedict, Logansport, IN; Steve (Patty) Benedict, Logansport, IN; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Janet Morehouse, Royal Center, IN; brother-in-law, Gary (Donna) Morehouse, Logansport, IN; two sister-in-laws, Debbie (Larry) Alexander, Royal Center, IN; Linda (Jack) Hollis, Logansport, IN; several nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren, Jake Allen Hotka , Tiara Benedict , Cole Nilson, Cane Nilson, Cody Nilson, Kinzie Minniear, Grant Minniear, Gage Minniear, Jasmine Minniear and Autum Garling.

One son, Terry Benedict Jr. and his father, George Benedict, preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 at 12:00PM at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Twelve Mile, IN with Pastor David Sommers Officiating.

Visiting hours will be from 10:00AM till the time of the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Shrine Hospitals for Children.
