Terry Kabat

Terry J. Kabat, 73, of Logansport, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on September 1, 1941 in Wabash, Indiana he was the son of the late George F. and Ethel M. (Aughinbaugh) Kabat.  On May 30, 1963 in Liberty Mills, Indiana he married Helen E. Osborn who survives.

Terry had retired in 2009 from the Logansport State Hospital. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church where he was a former Deacon. Terry enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife Helen are two daughters, Paula (Gene) Lohrman, Indianapolis; Betsy Kabat, Logansport; son, Jeff (Dawn) Kabat, Logansport; sister, Roberta (Fred) Thompson, Rochester; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Kabat.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Eckart officiating.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or Cause for Paws.
