Theda G. Leffel, 94 of Logansport passed away at 6:35 PM Friday, April 5, 2013 at Chase Center surrounded by family and extended Chase Center family.
Born, September 9, 1918 in Logansport, to the late Carl and Clystie Rousey Turnpaugh. On June 8, 1940 she married Raymond F. Albert who preceded in death. On February 23, 1956 she married Marion A. Leffel who preceded in death on June 12, 2011.
She had been employed at R.B.M., Switches, and National Friction in her younger years. Her favorite job was that of mother, grandmother, and wife. She was known to family members lovingly as "The Queen Bee."
She is survived by one son, Donald Albert, and two daughters, Diane (Jerry) Hunt, and Linda (David) Dunkle, all of Logansport; grandchildren, Tami Hunt and Traci Hines, both of Logansport; Aaron (Kalee) Dunkle, Grissom; Karon (Jason) Gentry, Bloomington; James (Alicia) Albert, Rosedale; and Julie Hollingsworth of Lapel; twelve great grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary.
Theda had a special place in her heart for her caregivers at Chase Center, referring to them as "Angels".
She was preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Turnpaugh; three brothers, Carl Jr., Maurice, and Francis Turnpaugh; grandson, Jerry L. Hunt; and daughter in law, Jackie Albert.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Jay Mckinley and Chaplain Ken Rushing Officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2013 also in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Church or Guardian Angel Hospice.
