â Thomas G. âTomâ Coleman, 84, Royal Center, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Millerâs Merry Manor.
Born April 28, 1926, in Cass County, he was the son of Harold M. and Bernadine Mineaman Coleman. He was married Jan. 21, 1950, in St. Bridgets Parsonage in Logansport to Patricia Louise Carew.
Tom was a retired postal worker, farmer and owner of Frames Unique.
Mr. Coleman was a 1944 graduate of Royal Center and was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 60. Tom enjoyed mowing the yard and chasing the moles in the yard.
Surviving are his wife, Pat Coleman, Royal Center; daughters, Andree âAndyâ Homburg, Royal Center, and Colleen âChoochâ Graf, Logansport; sisters, Mary Ann Mcleland, Royal Center, Arnetta Hanawalt and husband, Robert, Aurora, Colo., and Florence Mauch and husband, Don, Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Hillery Taylor and husband, Todd, Logansport, Jessica Day, Indiana, Joshua Thomas Homburg and fiancé, Crystal, Royal Center, and Ashley Homburg, Logansport; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren, Graham, Collin Taylor, Ashlynn and Caleb Day, Bailey and Ethan Homburg and Olivia Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Edward Coleman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in the Royal Center Cemetery.
