Thomas E. Eves, 84, Logansport, died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, in his residence.
Born Feb. 8, 1927, in Kenton, Tenn., he was the son of John Thomas Eves and Nell E. Green. He was married on Sept. 19, 1952, in Greencastle, to Dorothy R. McGowen, who survives.
He retired from G.T.E. in 1989 after 36 years of service.
Mr. Eves was a United States Army veteran serving in WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 60. Tom enjoyed fishing, feeding the deer and birds, also reading.
Also surviving are his daughters Rowena Shepler and husband, Thomas, Logansport, Rebecca Lowry and husband, Theodore, Indianapolis, and Roxane Collins and husband, Timothy, Brookston; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services are at 9 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
Pastor Carol Sickler will officiate. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, with full military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
