Thomas L. Nethercutt, 77 of Logansport, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in his residence.

Born on February 21, 1939 in Cass County, IN, he was the son of the late Rolla and Garnett (Kistler) Nethercutt.  On September 26, 1959 in Logansport he married Diana H. Frederick who survives.

Tom retired from Chrysler in 2004 after 17 years of service. He also was the former owner and operator of Nethercutt Welding and Fabrication.  Tom was a former member of the Georgetown Fire Department for over 25 years and received the Fireman of the Year Award for Cass County in 1993.

Surviving along with his wife, Diana, are three sons, Thomas (Kim) Nethercutt; Perry (Beth) Nethercutt, both of Logansport; Matt Nethercutt, Peru, IN; son in law, Darrin Kraay, Royal Center; six sisters, Eva Dickerson, Westfield; Doris Slusser, McCalla, AL; Rita Hall, Logansport; Lila (Phil) Carmichael, Logansport; Linda (Charles) Landis, Delphi; Connie (Greg) Johns, Logansport; two brothers, Fred (Sharon) Nethercutt, Lafayette; Dennis (Vicki) Nethercutt, Russiaville; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and his Canine companion, Sophie.

Tom was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Kraay; four brothers, Howard, Danny, Ronna, and Frank Nethercutt; sister, Patty Williams.

A Celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Scott officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Wednesday also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Burnettsville or to your favorite charity.
