Thomas Overpeck Iii

Thomas James Overpeck II, 72, of Lucerne, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on November 28, 1945 in Logansport, he was the son to the late Thomas J. Overpeck Sr. and Betty (Smith) Overpeck. Thomas retired after 30 years of working at Federal Mogul. He enjoyed racing, sports and trains. Mr. Overpeck was a Navy Veteran.

Surviving is a daughter, Emily (Jason) Hohenstreiter, Fort Belvoir, VA; a son, Nathaniel (Becky) Overpeck, Sparta, TN; seven grandchildren, Sammy, Collin, Joey, Ryan, Ember, Kera, Christian; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy (Michael) Kuhn, Broken Arrow, OK; Peggy Mattson, Sparta, TN; Anita (Charles) Spencer, Richardson, TX; two brothers, Rick (Terri) Overpeck, Royal Center; Scott (Cynthia) Overpeck, Kewanna.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Overpeck.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Monday July 2, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.  There will be no formal service and his cremains will be scattered at sea.

Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
