Thomas Parker

Thomas Lee Parker, age 62, passed away Tuesday July 20, 2021 in his residence.

He was born April 12, 1959 in Logansport to Sharon (Hizer) Parker-Ely. On June 28, 1996 at home plate of the Rochester City Softball Park, he married Patricia Ann Geller who survives.

Tom was a 25 year member of Union Hall Local #274. He enjoyed playing softball and umpiring. He was well known for starting and running an all-night softball tournament at the Rochester City Park for over 15 years.

Survivors include his wife Patricia, his mother, Sharon Parker-Ely, CA; one brother, John (Angie) Ely, Maine; son, Richard (Chandra) Whittenberger, Warsaw, IN; daughter, Angela Parker, CA; two granddaughters, Lexi and Hadley Whittenberger; one niece, Ariel Ely; and two nephews, Justin Ely, Logan Ely.

One daughter, Kayleigh Ann Parker, preceded in death.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4 -7 pm Tuesday in the Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.
