Thomas V. Zartman, 71, Rochester, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at his residence.
Born May 27, 1938, in Fulton County, he was the son of Omer âBobâ and Sara âHazelâ Rockey Zartman. He was married Nov. 14, 1956, to Carolyn J. Newell, who survives.
Tom was a member of Fulton Masonic Lodge 665 and former member of Fulton Lions Club. He was a member of the 1957 class of Fulton High School. Tom enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He loved raising cattle, working on the farm and watching his grandkids in sports.
Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Justice, Macy; sons, David L. Zartman, Macy, and Jerry Zartman and wife Stephanie, Rochester; sister Sue Rigney and husband Jim, Rochester; grandsons, Kyle Unger, Fulton, Branden and Bradley Justice, Macy, and Thomas J. âTJâ Zartman, Rochester; granddaughters, Brittany and Missy Zartman, Rochester; great-grandson, Brayden Unger, Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Penny Sue Zartman; son-in-law, Charles V. Justice; sister, Virginia Reed; and brother, Von Mike Zartman.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
The Revs. Bruce Russell and George Hapner will officiate. Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery in Fulton.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Masonic services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening.
