Velma M. Myers, 96, Logansport, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Chase Center, Logansport. Born May 17, 1916, in Miami County, she was the daughter of Estle and Orra (Miller) Howard. She was married March 6, 1939, in Logansport, to John E. Myers, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2009.

She retired from RCA in Monticello after 17 years.

She was a graduate of New Waverly High School and a member of Rockfield Presbyterian Church. Velma enjoyed playing cards with her euchre club.

Surviving are daughters, Nancy Nulf, Kokomo, and Diana Hershberger and husband Tony, Logansport; half sister, Marcella Murphy, Sweetser; three grandchildren, John Wynn, Kokomo, Tina Wynn, Kokomo, and Kelly Henry and wife Kristi, New Waverly; and five great-grandchildren, Scotty Wynn, Brayden Wynn, Kokomo, Kayleigh, Kassidy and Kyle Henry, New Waverly.

Two brothers, Nevin Howard and Charles Howard, and one sister, Mildred Bowman, preceded in her in death.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Cemetery, Logansport. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
