Vernie "Bud" Foster

Vernie E. “Bud” Foster, 96, Logansport, passed away on Monday August 21, 2017 at Logansport Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

Born on April 8, 1921 in Logansport, he was the son of late Verna and Loretta (Welch) Foster.

On June 24, 1942 in Peru, IN he married Betty C. Patesel who preceded in death November 6, 2015.

Bud was a former diesel mechanic for Jackson Kitchel before retiring. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3790. Bud and his wife Betty enjoyed many years living in Lake Placid, FL.

Surviving are two daughters, Jana Gerrard (Don Vitello), Logansport, Lynne (Hunter) Kyle, Concord, NC; three grandchildren, Jennifer Babb, Christopher (Tammy) Gerrard, Drew (Stephanie) Vester; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Preceding in death are four brothers, Al, Ed, Bob and Floyd Foster, two sisters, Anne Thomas and Florence Adair and special grandson-in-law, Dan Babb.

Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.

A private service will be held at a later date.
