Viola M. Ulery, 74, Logansport, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept.
22, 2010, in her residence.
Born May 14, 1936, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Leroy
and Luella Dilling Luzadder. She was married Sept. 7, 1958, in
Logansport, to Harold Ulery, who preceded her in death on Nov. 4,
2000.
Viola owned Sun World, Video World and Uleryâs Fireworks.
She graduated from Burnettsville High School and worked for many
years at Benhur Restaurant, RBM, and the Hot Dog wagon at
auctions. She also cooked for the children at Kidz Connection
Ministry until 2009. She was a member of Logansport Church of the
Brethren. Viola will be sadly missed by her best friend (Yorkie)
Buddy.
Surviving are daughters, Deb Baker and husband, Phil, Royal
Center, and Susie Hoffman and husband, Doug, Newport, Ore.;
sons, Rick Ulery and wife, Leda, and Greg Ulery and wife, Cheryl, all
of Logansport; grandchildren, Nathan Ulery and wife, Carrie, Royal
Center, Alicia Herrold and husband, Justin, and Evan Ulery and Erin
Ulery, all of Logansport, Tera Furman and husband, Cory,
Mechanicsburg, Pa., Travis Franklin, and Hayley Baker, both of Royal
Center, Jennifer Barry and husband, Jason, Vancouver, Wash., and
Ian Hoffman, Newport, Ore.; great-grandchildren, Caleb Ulery and
Ethan Ulery, both of Royal Center, and Alexsa Herrold, Logansport;
sisters-in-law, Violet Nelson, Shirley Carithers, Ginny Crimmins, and
Glenda Luzadder, all of Logansport; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Luzadder.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with
Pastor Aaron Gross officiating.
Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Logansport
Church of the Brethren Building Fund.
