Violet “Doreen” Kindig, 93, passed away on April 14, 2014 at 8:11 am in Chase Center, Logansport.
Born July 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Vernon) Grindle.
Violet was married on November 9, 1938 in Peru, IN to the late William T. Kindig, who preceded in death March 26, 1980.
She retired as Secretary-Treasurer of Wabash Wholesale Inc. Violet was a member of the Cross-Wind United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Post No.3790 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening , bowling and spending time with family and friends at Lake Shaffer
Surviving is one daughter, Sharon L. Haynes, Logansport; one son, William L. (Nancy) Kindig, Kokomo; three grandchildren, Donna Campbell, Kokomo; Jennifer (Mark) Caple, Logansport; Cynthia Kindig, Nokomis, FL; seven great grandchildren, Cody Winner, Dakota Campbell, Cambrie Cohee, Sidney Marshall, Wyatt Marshall, Gregory Name and Kelly Kindig; one great great grandson, Maxwell Kindig; one niece; and three nephews.
Preceding her in death are two granddaughters, Jody Harvey and Julie Kindig, one sister and one brother.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1:00PM in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
