Services for Virginia P. Day, 92, Royal Center, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 2:47 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Millerâs Merry Manor in Logansport.
Born Dec. 24, 1914, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of John and Pearl Huffman Swartzel. She was married Dec. 15, 1934, to Monroe E. Day, who preceded in death in Oct. 8, 1965.
Virginia was a homemaker. She also was a former Amway sales lady.
Surviving are one daughter, Peggy Jones, and her husband, Bob, Logansport; one son, Ronnie M. Day, and his wife, Joey, Royal Center; sisters, Mary Walter, Thelma Heick and Ruth Cavendar, all of Cromwell; five grandchildren, Debra Mathison and her husband, Steve, North Palm Beach, Fla., Robert J. Jones and Scott M. Jones, both of Logansport, Angela DaWalt and her husband, Mark, Royal Center, and Brett Day and his wife, Season, Lucerne; and five great-grandchildren.
One brother, Robert Swartzel, preceded in death.
Dr. Horace Smith will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Royal Center.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday in the funeral home.
