Virginia L. May, 84, Logansport, died at 9:13 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, in her residence.
Born July 31, 1926, in Ridge Farm, Ill., she was the daughter of Bethel James Crowe and Lissie Mae Grace. She was married Oct.
20, 1946, in Goodland, to Kenneth Eugene May, who preceded in death June 3, 2001.
Virginia was retired and was a beautician for many years. She had owned her own beauty salon in three different locations in Logansport.
She was a member of VFW Post 3790 Ladies Auxiliary. Virginia was very appreciative of all the care givers during her time of illness and wanted everyone of them to know how special they were to her.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda Bernhardt and husband, Rick, Logansport, Dana Melton, Twelve Mile, and Catherine Webb, Birmingham, Ala.; sister, Ruby Petty, Gallion, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her loving cats, Hank and Otis.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Chaplain Scott Ellison officiating.
Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
