Wanda C . Canfield, 87, New Wavery, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in the St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.
Born April 15, 1926 in Fort Wayne, IN. She was the daughter of the late Vern Oscar and Brooksie Colleen
( Lohman ) Smith.

Wanda was a homemaker, former clerk at A & P, dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studio and was also a former Avon sales lady.

She was past president of the Logansport Kennel Club and Miami Township Extension Homemakers. Wanda attended the New Waverly United Methodist Church, Central High School and was a Lewis Cass band booster. She enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, dog shows, fishing and spending time at the lake with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Rick (Teri) Canfield, Walton, Timothy Canfield, Frankfort; one brother, Vern (Marlene) Smith, Florida; five grandchildren, Dana Canfield, Indianapolis, Justin Canfield, Walton, Brandee (Justin) Hoffman, LaGrange, Barry Canfield, Melbourne Beach, FL, and Zachary Canfield, Richmond, VA; four great grandchildren, Monica Canfield, Brooklyn Canfield, Danessa Hoffman and Ayden Hoffman; several nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by two sisters, Laurie Garland and Doris Jean Feasby and one brother, William Hartleroad.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September3, 2013 at the Gundrum Funeral Home . Burial will be in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
