Wayne A. Hines, 85, of Logansport, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 10, 1926, in Logansport, he was the son of Harley Hines and Elizabeth Baschab. He was married Dec. 25, 1948, in Georgetown, to Shelia Reese.
He retired as a supervisor for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. after 47 years of service.
Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, the Camping Club and American Legion Post 60. He enjoyed camping and mushroom hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Shelia Hines, Logansport; daughter, Debra Sisson and husband, Paul, Logansport; sons, Tim Hines and Mike Hines, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Barry and Kyle Sisson, Natalie and Hayley Hines, and Eric Hines, all of Logansport, and Erin Zollner, Brownsburg.
He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Loretta Hines; three brothers, Harold, Carl and Clarence Hines; and two sisters, Gladys Bougher and Agnes Turner.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Calvary Presbyterian Church in Logansport.
