Weldon "Pete" Conrad

Weldon D. “Pete” Conrad, 93, of Logansport, passed away Saturday March 2, 2019.

Born August 30, 1925 in Cass County, IN, Pete was the son to the late John T. and Bertha Mae (Sheetz) Conrad. On August 30, 1947 near Logansport Pete married Betty Pearl Morrow who preceded in death November 3, 2004.

Pete retired from truck driving in 1991. He was a member of Spring Creek Christian Church, Bridge City Square Dancers, Member of Walton American Legion Post #418 and was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Philippines.

Surviving are two sons, L.D. (Barbara) Conrad, Peru; Jerre (Tammy) Conrad, Rochester; two daughters, Jill Rushinsky, Rochester, Joy (Mike) Murray, Logansport; twelve grandchildren, Jason Conrad; Jennifer (Jason) Conrad; Jon (Robyn) Conrad; Brent (Stacia) Conrad; Belinda Conrad; Brian (Jessica) Conrad; Alicia (Richard) Hall; Jarod (Marianne) Zartman; Noah Rushinsky; Candace Rhodes; Garret Murray; Brice Murray; four step grandchildren; Jacob Eddy; Joshua Eddy; Rod Roth and Mike Young; thirteen great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and lady friend Helen Presson, Rochester.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dana Conrad; daughter in law, Carol Conrad; and two brothers, Dale Conrad and Charles Conrad.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Frankie Pilley and Pastor Jeffery Hayes officiating. Burial with full Military Rites will be at Spring Creek Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday March 6, 2019 also in the funeral home.
