Wilda A. Rodgers, 95, Lucerne, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31,
2012, at Millers Merry Manor, Logansport. She was born April 28,
1916, in Logansport, to Clark and Edith (Nickels) Davidson. On Sept.
1, 1939, in Clay Township, she married Albert M. Rodgers, who


preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1993.
Wilda was a homemaker and had formerly worked at the public
library and Montgomery Wards. She was very active in the
Logansport Rose Society, Bethlehem Township Home Economics
Club and the women’s group at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.
She also enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, reading, traveling, and
taking care of her garden and rose beds. She also enjoyed family
gatherings.
She is survived by a daughter, Anita Delight Conn and husband Phil,
Logansport; sons, Milton D. Rodgers and wife Pat, Burlington, and
William L. Rodgers and wife Lynne, Kokomo; grandsons, John
Conn and wife Jana, Burlington, Jeff Rodgers and wife Traci,
Indianapolis, Scott Rodgers and wife Danielle, Indianapolis, and
Brad Rodgers, Los Angeles, Calif.; granddaughters, Edith Gage and
husband Ryan, Eureka, S.D., and Lindsay (Rodgers) Proctor and
husband Josh, Chicago, Ill.; great-grandsons, Cameron Conn,
Burlington, and Noah Rodgers, Indianapolis; and
great-granddaughters, Rebekah Conn, Burlington, Amanda Gage,
Eureka, S.D., and Rachel Gage, Eureka, S.D.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Studebaker.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church,
5588 N. Ind. 25, Logansport, with Pastor William F. Kleymann
officiating. Burial will be in Metea Baptist Cemetery, Metea. Visitation
is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 E. Broadway,
Logansport, and one hour prior to services at the church on
Saturday.
