LOGANSPORT â Wilda R. Wellman, 75, Logansport, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
She was born July 30, 1935, in Logansport, to Harry Sutton and Inez V. Staley Sutton. She was married May 21, 1960, in St. Joseph Church in Logansport to Gene M. Wellman.
She was a secretary for Schrum School District 157 in Calumet City, Ill.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed to volunteer, spend time with her grandchildren, travel and read. Her intent was to always make others happy.
Surviving are husband, Gene Wellman, Logansport; son, James Wellman and wife, Kathleen, Frankfort, Ill.; son, Gregg Wellman and wife, Antonella, Dyer; grandson, Tyler Wellman, Dyer; granddaughter, Alexa Wellman, Dyer; grandson, Jakob Wellman, Frankfort, Ill.; sister, Wilma Erny and husband, Keith, Logansport; nephew, Harry Rodkey and wife, Sharon, Walton; niece, Deb Beard and husband, Lynn, Kokomo; nephew, Stuart Brandt and wife, Cindy, Carmel; nephew, Joe Vernon and wife, Navi, Peru; niece, Vickie Lebo, Logansport; nephew, Rod Erny and wife, Sue, Kokomo; nephew, Jeff Erny and wife, Connie, Walton; nephew, Mark Erny and wife, Stephanie, Walton; nephew, Troy Erny and wife, Janet, Long Grove, Ill.
Two sisters, Rachel Price and Betty J. Callipo, preceded her in death.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Father Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
