William Gundrum

William Eugene “Junior” Gundrum, 87, Logansport, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

He was born June 20, 1924, in Cass County to Cecil “Bob” Wayne Gundrum and Goldia Catheryn Jones.

He married Saramae Boyd on April 14, 1942, in Royal Center, and she preceded him in death on July 10, 2001. He later married Corina Hedger on March 3, 2006, and she survives.

Mr. Gundrum retired on May 9, 1986, from Montgomery Ward. He was a member of the Royal Center Eastern Star, Tipton Masonic Lodge 33, Elks Lodge 66 and Baptist Temple Church.

He is survived by his wife, Corina “Sandy” Gundrum, Logansport; sons, Boyd A. Gundrum and wife Janis, Logansport, Kenneth E. Gundrum and wife Denna, Greenfield, and Brad W. Gundrum and wife Beth, Dayton, Ohio; stepsons, Kevin Hedger and wife Vickie, Galveston, and Mike Hedger and wife Leesa, Rochester; stepdaughters, Cheryl Lynas and husband Stan, Walton, and Cindy Baber and husband Jeff, Walton; seven grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

One brother, Lester Gundrum, and a sister, Donna M. Reiber, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Wade officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Temple.
