William Mills


William (Bill) A. Mills, 61, of Logansport, passed away at 9:45 am, Sunday, September 22, 2013 in his residence.

Born November 12, 1951 in Mercedes, California, he was the son of Gilbert and Goldie (Hoffman) Mills. On April 12, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky he married Lola E. Hasting who survives.

Mr. Mills was a manager of Environmental Engineering for Brillion Iron Works, in Brillion, Wisconsin. He loved his work, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Surviving along with his wife is one son, Christopher Hasting and Andrea Gochenour, Logansport; three granddaughters, Alysia, Alexis and Alyson; father, Gilbert Mills, West Middleton, IN; two brothers, Bob (Sue) Mills, Tallahassee, FL; Barry Mills; two sisters, Joy Mills, El Paso, TX; Jamie (Mark) Buckalew, Kokomo; three brother in laws, Wayne Jones, Niceville, FL; Dennis (Barbara) Hasting, Newburg, IN; Lynn Hasting, Kokomo; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Taz and Snuff.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Jackie Jones.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Marks officiating. Burial will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery, Royal Center.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Wednesday, also in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Crooked Creek Christian Church, 7032 West County Road 325 North, Royal Center, IN 46978.
