William Richards


William "Buckets" Richards, 72, of Logansport passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 in his residence.
Born July 9, 1941 in Cannelton, Indiana, he was the son of the late Boyd and Alma (Curl) Richards. On April 1, 1978 in Logansport he married Shirley A. Rucker who survives.
Bill retired from Exide Battery Factory. He was a member of the Tipton Masonic Lodge #33, Mizpah Shrine Temple Valley of Fort Wayne, Logansport Shrine Club, American Legion Post #60, V.F.W. Post #3790, and Eagles Lodge #323. Bill served his country in the United States Navy.
Surviving along with his wife are five daughters, Donna Hankee, Columbus, MS; Dotti Richards, Columbus, MS; Dorine (Keilan) Deason, Logansport; Carol (Dennis) Pearson, Lafayette; Patty (Shane) Hochstetler, Elkhart; and a son, Kenny (Lisa) Clark, Kissimmee, FL; brother, Robert (Penny) Richards, Camden; sister, Mary (Gene) Pelter, Fort Wayne; brother in law, Jim (Bonnie) Bell, Logansport; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Bell.
In according to Bill’s wishes there will be no services but friends are welcome to call the family or stop by to visit. A private burial will be held at Ever-Rest Memorial Park cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals For Children in care of the Logansport Shrine Club 415 High Street Logansport, IN 46947
