William Edwin âBillâ Vanderkolk, 61, Logansport, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in his residence.
Born July 10, 1948, in Lafayette, he was the son of Marvin and Ida Brolsma Vanderkolk.
Bill was a teacher at Lewis Cass High School for 30 years and had been in teaching for 39 years.
He was a member of New Waverly United Methodist Church.
Survivors are companion, Tammy Middleton, Kokomo; sons, Nick Valentine and wife Tynea, Haslet, Texas, Adam Vanderkolk and wife Kerri, Pembroke, Ky., Cris Vanderkolk and Marc Vanderkolk, both of Logansport; brother, John Vanderkolk and wife Carolyn, Lafayette; sister, Marva Denham and husband Randy, Lafayette; and six grandchildren, Isabella Valentine, Montana, Madison, McKail, Micah and Makenna Vanderkolk.
Celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Waverly United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lafayette.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home in Logansport.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Cass Scholarship Fund in care of the Cass County Community Foundation.
