Services for Willie Viola Hedrick, 89, Peru, formerly of Logansport, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at her residence.
Born May 26, 1919, in Tallahachie, Miss., she was the daughter of Will Crow and Middie Hardy. She was married May 6, 1935, in Paris, Miss., to Luther Davis, who preceded in death in 1955. She was married Nov. 12, 1966, in Fairfax, Va., to Glenn Hedrick, who preceded in death in 1976.
Willie was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary Union Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are daughter, Lillian Fowler and husband, James, Lewisburg; sons, Luther Alvis Davis and Jim H. Davis, both of Lawrenceburg, and Odis Davis, Logansport; stepsons, Alvin Hedrick and wife, Virginia, Peru, and Glenn Hedrick, Arizona; sister, Flora May Gentry, Crowder, Miss.; brother, Jerry Long, Lambert, Miss.; stepdaughter, Nancy Newcom, Peru; granddaughters, Misty Moss and husband, Tim, Logansport, and Janie Stern and husband, Michael, Cleveland, Ohio; grandsons, Thomas âTonyâ Fowler and wife, Kim, Logansport, and William Shaun Fowler and wife, Kathy, Logansport; 17 stepgrandchildren; great-grandchildren, Stephen Moss, Amber Moss, Tyler Stern, Mikaylah Stern, Christina Sylvester and husband, Jeremy, Dawn Smalley and husband, Shannon, Joshua Fowler and wife, Robin, Christopher Fowler, Matthew Fowler, Carrie Kutch and Tommy Kutch; 24 stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Alene D. Oaks; one son, Eugene Davis; three stepsons; and one sister.
Pastor Mike Stow will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
