Wilma R. Hasman, 76, Newaygo, Mich., formerly of Walton, died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Born March 6, 1935, in Walton, she was the daughter of Clyde and Jennie Martin Woolever. She was married June 5, 1960, in Kewanna, to LaVon R. Hasman.
Wilma retired as a case worker for the Cass County Family Services.
She had also worked as a Home Economics Teacher at Lewis Cass Junior-Senior High School and Kewanna High School. She received her masterâs degree from Ball State University.
Wilma was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, Hi Neighbors Extension Homemakers Club and the American Cancer Society.
Surviving are her husband, Lavon R. Hasman, Newaygo, Mich.; daughter, Pamela Shaver, Rockford, Mich.; son, Tony Hasman and wife, Tana, Comstock Park, Mich.; brother, Eugene Woolever and wife, Jo, Holliday, Fla.; four grandchildren, Briena Shaver, Kayla Shaver, Ryan Shaver and Matthew Hasman; and three great-grandchildren, Madalynn Wood, Alexis Street and Gavin Shaver.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Walton IOOF Cemetery, Walton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
