Services for Wilma Jean âConnieâ McFarland, 81, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Chase Center.
Born Aug. 11, 1926, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Everett L. and Margaret Boussom Conrad. She was married in 1947, in Logansport, to Charles L. Warpenburg, who preceded in death Dec.
27, 1972. Her second marriage was on Jan. 5, 1980, in Logansport, to Norman E. McFarland, who survives.
Connie retired from the Logansport State Hospital in 1984 after 26 years of service.
She enjoyed spending time flower gardening and doing other outdoor activities such as fishing in her pond and camping. She was a member of the VFW Post 3790 Ladies Auxiliary.
Also surviving are sons, Charlie Warpenburg and wife, Sandy, Twelve Mile, and Dave Warpenburg, Logansport; stepson, Robert âBobâ McFarland and wife, Claudia, Galveston; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mike Warpenburg; one grandson, David Mathew Warpenburg; one stepson, Michael McFarland; and four brothers.
Pastor Ryan Lewellen will officiate. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery.
